Discover Howard's Woods in Nashua

Howard's Woods is 20 acres of timber and park area on the Cedar River. It was donated to Chickasaw County by the Howard Family in 1959.  Howard's Woods is a multiple use area for hunters, fisherman, campers, and hikers.  A picnic shelter is provided along with primitive camping facilities, a concrete boat ramp and pit toilets.

A Rock Elm located at Howard's Woods is on the State Register of Big Trees.

Camping rates - $10.00/day for primitive camping.
