By youragreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 yearsor older (21 years or older if alcohol will be present) and that you areauthorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. Youfurther agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence oromissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities.
Additionally, you agree that you have read andunderstand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES contained in this documentconcerning this reservation, and have also read and understand the FACILITYAGREEMENT information.
You arereserving a facility in a Clarke County park. ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWSARE ENFORCED. Contact the Park Ranger listed on your reservation confirmationemail if you have any questions about park rules, policies or special requests.
Failure toclean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to complywith park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. Clarke CountyConservation may take any legal action necessary to recover damages to countyproperty.
CHECK-INTIME: After 8:00 AM
CHECK-OUTTIME: Before 10:00 PM
RENTALPERIOD
Shelterswill be rented by the full day only. No half day rentals.
GETTINGINTO A FACILITY
This shelteris available to you at your scheduled check-in time. A map marking the locationof your shelter is on the website. The Park Ranger will have your sheltermarked as “reserved” prior to your arrival. Please adhere to your scheduledcheck-in and departure times.
CLEAN-UP
You arerequired to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the conditionyou received them. Plan to have your facility cleaned and people departed priorto your scheduled checkout time.
SMOKING
ClarkeCounty is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.
PARKING
Parking isconfined to designated parking areas. If you anticipate more vehicles thanspaces provided, please contact the Park Ranger in advance. No parking ordriving off roadways.
DIRECTIONALSIGNS & DECORATIONS
Temporary,free standing directional signs are allowed – not to be attached to parkfurniture, signposts or other facilities. Decorations are allowed as long asthey are free standing or not affixed in a manner that would damage a facilityor any painted walls (tape, tacks, staples, nails can cause damage to walls).The use of a nonstick adhesive is recommended). Special care should be takenwith balloons so that they do not “escape”.
BEER ANDWINE
No kegs areallowed in the park. Beer and wine are allowed, no hard alcohol.
MUSIC
Bands, discjockeys and other amplified sources of sound are allowed. Noise must be respectful to others in thepark and neighbors. It is required thatyou work out the details for your amplified music in advance of your event withthe park ranger. All sources of sound must be turned off by 10:00 PM. “Quiethours” are observed in the parks between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
REFUSE
Clarke County Parks observe a “Carry In –Carry Out” refuse policy.
PETS
Pets areallowed, but must be on a leash not exceeding 6 ft. at all times.
SPECIALREQUESTS
Certainactivities or items require that you request and obtain special permission fromthe Park Ranger in advance of your event. These include (but are not limited)to the following: horses (or horse activities), erection of tents, inflatableplay equipment, hog roasts, carnival-type activities, etc. Please contact thePark Ranger for additional information.
RESERVATIONMODIFICATIONS (INCLUDING DATE CHANGE)
In order tomake any modification to an existing reservation, the request must be two weeksprior to the original date. If the request is a date change, the new date mustbe within 6 months of the existing date. A date change must be used for thesame type of facility in a Clarke County Park. All reservation modificationsmust be made by calling the Conservation Office at (641)- 342-3960. Anymodifications to an existing reservation will be assessed a $15 administrativefee.
CANCELLATIONPOLICY
If you need to cancel a reservation, you willforfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid. All cancellations must be made bycalling the Conservation Office at (641)- 342-3960.
REFUNDPOLICY
Allreservations with Clarke County Conservation facilities are final. Reservationsare non-refundable, unless the following situations occur:
• TheNational Weather Service has issued severe weather and advised against travel.
• We areunable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition forthe date of your eventAll requestsfor refunds must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (641)-342-3960.
No charge for youth groups (ie: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and 4H) or for churches and non profits. Call office for these type of reservations if date is available.
