Event Summary

Join Jennifer Kurth, Natural Resource Biologist with the IDNR, for a morning of classroom and field experience with freshwater mussels!  Meet at Bev and Dwight Rutter’s home for a lesson in mussel history and the life cycle of these important creatures.  Rutter’s will then transport participants to the river to survey the mussel population.  Please bring closed toed shoes to go wading, and a swimsuit/towel if you want to get really wet.
