Holiday Walk “Mammoth Hunt”

Osborne Nature Center   

Rumors abound of a woolly mammoth roaming the woods at Osborne Park… And we’re gonna find it. This year’s holiday walk participants will join the hunt with the help of a few colorful characters encountered along the way.   

Walks will start every 15 minutes and last approximately 30 minutes.  After the hike enjoy homemade cookies, hot cocoa and Christmas music by the Madrigal Choir of Central High School.  The event is free, but a donation of bird feed such as thistle and black oil sunflower seeds is requested. Reservations are required.

The Osborne Center is located in Highway 13, ten miles north of Strawberry Point or five miles south of Elkader.  The Nature Center winter hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday.
