Event Summary

Participants should meet at Osborne Park to leave at 11:00 AM and carpool to the destination. O.W.L.S. will explore Dubuque’s rich history at this unique historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Costumed interpreters will give a tour of the site which includes Mathias Ham House, Iowa’s oldest log cabin, a one-room schoolhouse and a replica lead mine and miner’s dwelling.

Reservations are required. Reserve your spot today by calling (563) 245-1516 or visit the Osborne Nature Center. Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. The center is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Saturday & Noon – 4:00 PM Sunday.
