Tube the Bear

Event Summary

We’ve rounded up used truck inner-tubes for a cool float down Bear Creek withinthe boundaries of the Refuge. Tubes will be provided on firstcome,first-served basis. Participants will sign in (parent orguardian for youth) and begin near the southwest picnic shelter.They will be provided a tube and PFD, scramble down the bankand float, splash and trod their way downstream to the take-out atthe east end of the main campground. Water shoes or an old pairof sneakers and a PFD must be worn at all times (rocks can besharp and hard), sunscreen is a good idea as well.
