Build A Fishing Rod

Event Summary

Local Rod Builder, Garry Land, will be on hand to help you build your very own, unique one-piece, spinning fishing rod for only $75. This Batson rod works well for catching walleye, pan fish and light bass. Note: the rod will have to cure overnight and need to be picked up at a later time. Space is limited, so register now at www.mycountyparks.com.  

We understand if you can not make it by 5 pm due to work, just let Jessica know when she can expect you with 6 PM being the absolute latest.

Children (approx.12 years or older) ~ This project takes fine motor skills and patience. Know your child and their abilities. Sometimes it works well if a child is partnered with an adult, so if the child needs a break or help the adult can lend a hand.

Bringing a spouse/partner/friend is a great idea! You just pay per rod.

This sounds weird, but grow out your thumbnail(s) to help push thread around the guides.

Depending on you.... you may want to bring...

a desk light, headlamp or cap with light.

Magnifying glasses or "cheaters".
