Build a Fishing Rod ~ 9 AM ~ Rock Creek ~ Local guild certified custom rod builder, Garry Land will be on hand to help you build your very own, unique fishing rod for $45.
A couple of things that you might want to bring is a desk lamp for extra light and a Headband Magnifying lenses.
The ending time is open ended due to the nature of the craft. Some people can complete the rod in 4 hours where other people need more time. The more craft-minded, nimble-fingered and how good your eyesight is determines the time.
After the pole is complete, the epoxy covering the thread needs to dry overnight on the spinning dryers. They can be picked up generally Monday - Wednesday 10 AM - 2PM or Thursday-Sunday 8 AM - 4 PM. Or special appointment with staff. Note: Monday, February 20th the Eco Tourism Center is closed and will not be able to pick it up.
