Nelson Park campground has 85 sites including one large modern campground with hot water, showers, flush toilets, dump station, and electric hookups.
Ther are also two smaller campgrounds and one for tents only.

Disc Golf at Yellow Smoke Park
This is a challenging 9-hole disc golf course donated to the County by the Paradocs Foundation.
There is also a practice basket located in the Yellow Smoke beach overflow parking lot.

The Neal Moeller Environmental Education Center is a 2592 square foot facility with exhibit areas and classroom facilities.

Historic Visits at Dow House Historical Site
This is the historic home of Simeon E. Dow, founder of Dow City, which depicts the life of a prominent upper middle class citizen and his family in the early 1870's. It provides an excellent view of the Boyer River Valley and surrounding farmlands.

Hunting at Hanover Wildlife Area
In 1996, the Pheasants Forever assisted in purchasing this .75 mile former Milwaukee Railroad right of way that provides wildlife habitat and public hunting.

Hunting at Milwaukee Road Habitat Prairie
This is a 1 mile stretch of former railroad property that provides wildlife habitat, prairie, and has a public hunting area.

Hunting at Ahart Rudd Natural Resource Area
This area has 20 acres of reestablished prairie which is ideal for wildlife habitat. This is a public hunting area.

This is a 92 acre natural resource area that is ideal for bird watching and those that take time to notice the native prairie flowers

This 5 acre site is a prime example of a native oak/hickory hardwood forest and provides good habitat for woodland wildlife.

Many ridges and knolls overlooking Stern Lake provide picnicking and camping areas as well as a scenic view.
