Overview
- Forest Park Museum, which includes Hastie Hall, Baldwin Hall, and the Wagner Gallery, is free and open to the public.
- Historical structures, such as the Alton Schoolhouse -- the last one-room school house of Dallas County-- the 1860 Grabenhorst log cabin, and the Bill Wagner Scale House, are located on the grounds of Forest Park.
- Museums are self-guided. The museum curator is available during current museum hours. A program can be arranged by contacting the curator at 515-465-3577.

- On the southeast edge of Perry on Highway 141, turn south onto K Avenue. (Note: to the north of Highway 141, K Avenue is called 16th St.)
- Proceed approximately ¼ mile and the entrance is on the west (right).
Features
- 12 acres of re-established prairie and wildflowers, including a mowed path around the perimeter that encourages visitors to explore the grounds.
- A .4 mile spur off the Raccoon River Valley Trail, with a bike maintenance station, modern restrooms, water fountain, and beverage vending machine. Trail maps and trail permit purchasing signage are also available.

Hours
- Forest Park Museum is open 8:00-4:30pm, Monday-Friday year-round
- May-October, the Museum is also open 1:00-4pm, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
- Forest Park and Arboretum is open from 8:00am-10:00pm year-round.
Closed
Closed weekends and holidays from November 1 through April 30.
