Owls of Dallas County
JAN 20 2011 7:00 PM
Event Summary
What are your owl experiences? A eerie pair of glowing eyes staring back at you in the dark? The haunting WHOOOO call echoed across the forest into the night? A silent winged image floating through the beam of your headlights? Do these feathered night time enigmas captivate your curiosity? Join us as we ask - “Who are the owls of Dallas County?” This program will explore the owls found in our wilds. Who are they? How do you tell one from another? What unique owl adaptations allow this winged mystery to move so stealthily through our place? Who better to ask these owl questions than an owl. This program will feature live owls that have been injured, rehabilitated, but cannot be returned to the wilds. These wild birds now serve as teachers to help us understand what it is like to be an owl. Registration is required for this program.
