Park Museum is pleased to host a program on Protecting Your Garden for Winter. Presenter Anne Larson, the Iowa Garden
Coach, has over a decade of professional garden maintenance, design and
installation experience. She has a B.A. in horticulture from Iowa State
University and constantly hones her skills through continuing education.
Anne
is certified as a Landscape and Garden Center pro from the Iowa Nursery and
Landscape Association. She is also a member of the Professional Land Care
Network(PLANET), and is a certified Iowa Rainscape designer.
In this program, Anne will walk you through proven
ways to keep your special garden favorites safe from the ravages of winter.
Anne will cover everything from the use of wraps and anti-dessicants to mulch
and fencing. Walk away with confidence that you are doing the right things for
the right plants at the right time in preparation for the cold season to come!
Registration is required for this program. There is a $5 fee for each
participant to cover the cost of handouts.
