This year’s Winter Solstice is the same date as the Dallas County Christmas Bird Count, Saturday December 21st. A DCCB staff member will not be present at Hanging Rock to greet the morning sun at 7:30. The public is welcome to gather at Hanging Rock independently to observe sunrise or sunset.
