    • I understand that if I cancel the reservation, 50% the rental fee will be returned only if the Dallas County Conservation Board is able to re-rent the facility for those same days.
    • I understand that I must be 21 years of age to rent this facility.

    Rental Contract Agreement

    • All trash must be removed by the party upon departure.
    • Minimum age to reserve a shelter is 21 years old.
    • Do not litter. Please pick up and remove all debris, including pieces of balloons, paper, etc.
    • Please be considerate of other park users. Do not play music too loudly or in any way affect others enjoyment of the area.
    • Drive slowly and carefully. Obey all posted signs.
    • May-October, Hanging Rock Park hours are 8:00am-10:00pm. Restrooms are open.
    • November-April, Hanging Rock Park hours are 8:00am-5:00pm. Restrooms are closed.
    • The shelter and park must be vacated before closing time.
    • Keg beer requires a special keg beer permit. Please contact DCCB at 515-465-3577 for details.
    • Please read the Special Event Permit located on our website to determine if your event requires it. Call DCCB with questions about this permit.
    • DCCB has the right to refuse rental privileges.
    • All rules and regulations of DCCB and the State of Iowa apply.

    Cancellation Policy

    You must contact the Dallas County Conservation Board office at 515-465-3577 to cancel your reservation. If you cancel the reservation, 50% of your rental fee will be returned only if the Dallas County Conservation Board is able to re-rent the facility for those same days. The business office is open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

    The Hanging Rock Shelterhouse is an open air shelter attached to modern restrooms.
    It includes four picnic tables, a fireplace, lights, an electric outlet, and nearby parking.
    The fee for reservation is $35 per day.

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:00 PM.

    From 2nd Street in Redfield, turn west onto Redfield Street and take the first left into the entrance of the park.

    Please note that payments made through mycountyparks.com will appear as from "Dallas County Treasurer".

    In May-October, Hanging Rock Park hours are 8:00am-10:00pm daily. Restrooms are open. 

    In November-April, Hanging Rock Park hours are 8:00am-5:00pm daily. Restrooms are closed.

    The area must be vacated before closing time.
