Ignite your senses and gather around the hot coals for an unforgettable evening at Starr’s Cave
Nature Center on Thursday, May 29th. From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, we invite you to dive into the
timeless tradition of Dutch oven cooking in the heart of nature.

 

Whether you're a seasoned camper or simply curious about outdoor cuisine, this hands-on
experience will guide you through the art of crafting delicious meals over a hot coals using
classic cast iron Dutch ovens. Set against the scenic backdrop of the picnic shelter, you’ll prep,
cook, and savor three mouthwatering recipes as the scent of cooking smoke drifts through the air.

 

Led by new Naturalist Shania, this hands-on workshop offers more than just a cooking lesson—
it’s a chance to slow down, connect with the outdoors, and rediscover the joy of creating food
together under the open sky.

 

This program is limited to just 12 participants to keep the experience personal and engaging. Be
sure to reserve your spot early, and don’t forget to let us know about any food allergies at the
time of registration.
