Event Summary

Interested in Hunters Education? Hunter Education is a mandatory program for interested hunters that is designed to introduce students to several life-long skills that are important to the many different types of outdoor recreational opportunities. The course teaches students basic survival and first aid skills, water safety, wildlife identification, and the basics of wildlife management, hunting laws, and firearm/archery safety. The Hunters Education class can be taken online with one Field Day. Dubuque County Conservation is hosting field day here at Swiss Valley Nature Center October 13th from 5:00-9:00 PM. The field day will be taught by a Retired Firearms Instructor, Dubuque County Park Rangers, and a IA DNR Conservation officer.
