Event Summary

Start Maynes Grove at 10 AM, then choose your route and visit the sites at your own pace. Check off the sites on your passport and stop by Maynes Grove Lodge between 12 and 1 PM for a meal and possible prizes!   

We will also have live animals and educational displays at Maynes Grove Lodge

Stops:

Franklin County Historical Society: Take time to explore the community's historical treasures and the stories of their heritage and culture. 1000 Central Ave W, Hampton

Franklin County Freedom Rock: View the freedom rock completed in 2018 to honor Iowa’s Veterans! 22 Barrett St, Coulter

REA Power Plant Museum: Learn about the first plant west of the Mississippi to generate electricity for rural areas! 1450 110th St, Hampton

Mallory Park: Visit the location of the first campsite used by settlers in Franklin County and drive through the woods and cross the creek. 833 Mallory Drive, Hampton

Maynes Grove: Lunch served at Maynes Grove Lodge. 946 US HWY 65, Hampton  

Proceeds will support the Historical Society and the Conservation Board
