MAYNES GROVE LODGE
RENTAL AGREEMENT

You
must be 18 years of age to rent the shelter and 21 or older to be the Group
Representative if serving alcohol.

By
agreeing to the terms and conditions, you agree to make application to use the
lodge at Maynes Grove at the specified date and times and hereby make payment
of a NON-REFUNDABLE rental
fee of $150.00/day Monday-Thursday, $300.00/day Friday-Sunday.
*If
necessary, staff will work with you to reschedule your event for a different
date

A
$400 deposit check payable to: Franklin County Conservation, PO Box 164,
Hampton, IA 50441 must be received a minimum of 10 days before your event or
your reservation will be cancelled and your rental fee forfeited. If there are
no damages and the lodge is thoroughly cleaned according to the cleaning
checklist, your $400 check will be shredded.

Franklin County Conservation reserves the right to suspend renting privileges of customers who have demonstrated significant lack of compliance with cleaning or rules described below.

I agree to clean up all
decorations, litter and debris in the building, on the grounds and parking lot
which may have been deposited during our stay and agree to return all tables,
chairs, and equipment to their original locations.

I agree to be responsible for any
damages done to property during our stay by us, or by our guests.
I agree to ensure compliance of
Sec. 123.47 of the Iowa Code respecting possession of alcohol by minors and
agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the Conservation Board and the
State of Iowa. Hard liquor is not allowed.

I understand that failure to clean
up the facility and the surrounding area as described in the cleaning checklist
at the lodge may result in additional charges to be paid to Franklin County
Conservation. Cleaning includes: Sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning tables and counter tops, cleaning sinks and toilets, cleaning windows and mirrors, removing all trash

I understand that the provided tables and chairs must remain inside the lodge and may not be used in the yard/grounds. There are 17 benches outside the lodge that may be used in the yard.

I agree to the following policies
regarding decorations: animal mounts cannot be moved, confetti/glitter is not
allowed, nails cannot be used in the walls/ceiling, tape cannot be used on
the floor, tables and chairs may not be used outside.

HOLD
HARMLESS & INDEMNIFICATION CLAUSE
Undersigned
hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue Franklin County
its employees, officers, directors, supervisors, elected officials, agents and
assigns (“Releasees”) from any and all liability to the undersigned, its/their
personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin, for any and all loss,
damage, demand or cost, including but not limited to injury to property, person
or death of the undersigned, arising out of or related to the loss, damage,
claim, demand or cost arising out of or related to the rights conferred, the
benefits provided or the subject of this Agreement, whether caused by the
negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
 
Undersigned
further agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Releasees and each of
them from any and all loss, damage, claim or demand by any other person or
party, including but not limited to injury to property, person or death,
arising out of or related to the use of the property or premises licensed for
use pursuant to this agreement, or for any loss, damage, claim, demand or cost
arising out of or related to the rights conferred, the benefits provided or the
subject of this Agreement, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or
otherwise.

I understand that my rental is
valid from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on the day of the rental. I agree to have the
facility cleaned up and vacated by 10:00 PM on the day of the rental.

Grove Key Box Code: 4 digit code you entered for your reservation. Enter the code on the key
box, press down on the lever, and remove the key from the box. Please place the
key back in the box after final cleaning inspection is complete and all doors
are locked.
