SHELTER - Bell's Mill
This open air shelter has electricity, water hydrant, tables, a playground and shower/restroom facility nearby.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 09:00 PM.
Location We are located at 3100 Bell's Mill Road in Hamilton County, Iowa. This is approximately six miles north and east of Stratford, Iowa. Look for section 16 of Webster township in the plat book. The Boone River forms the southern boundary of the park, and access is from a gravel road. Paved roads, located within a short distance of the park, occur in all four directions with the access to state highway 17, 175 and 20.

Fees
- $40 for the day
- $100 refundable deposit
- Reservations may be made up to TWO YEARS in advance.
- Online reservations are charged a $4 transaction fee.
- Rental must be in the name of a person that is 18 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation. (21 years of age is there is to be wine or beer present at the event)

Hours of Operation & Seasons
- Park hours are 5:00 am to 10:30 pm
- Reservations should plan to have their event concluded, cleaned-up and exit the park by 10:30 pm

Closures
This shelter is not available for reservation between October 31 and April 1 on an annual basis.
Permits
- All laws of the State of Iowa are in effect.
- Smoking is prohibited
- Keg beer is prohibited without an agreement and having paid a $100 fee
- Tables must remain inside the shelter
- Clean-up of facility must be completed no later than 10:00 pm

Hamilton County
The Hamilton County Conservation Board is located in central Iowa and manages 19 individual parks, wildlife areas, and river accesses - collectively encompassing over 2,000 acres. In addition, several major creeks and the Boone River flow through the county providing numerous water recreation opportunities.
All of our Areas are open to the public. Explore the Natural Resource Areas with a hike or bird watching. The following areas also allow public hunting:
