EVENT CANCELLED Whitetail Deer Antler Shed Talk and Hike

Event Summary

Come and enjoy a short talk about whitetail deer antler sheds and then hike on the park trails with our County Naturalist. We will discuss the difference between horns and antlers on mammals. On the hike we will be looking for deer antler sheds, tree rubbings, deer beds, and scrapes, deer droppings, and tracks. We will be looking for the prized whitetail deer antler sheds that is sought after by people and  other animals. We should have success finding some as we will look for sheds that have been laid outside ahead of time. If you find a shed that was not placed along the park trail  you are welcome to keep it.
