This workshop will be conducted by Kelly McKay (Bio Eco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County Conservation), Brian Ritter & James Wiebler (Nahant Marsh Education Center)

Meet at the Hamilton County Conservation Office at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City, IA 50595

9:00 -10:30 AM Introduction to Waterfowl and Upland Gamebirds of Iowa by Kelly McKay

10:30 - 11:00 AM Break for discussion and snacks

11:00 - 1:00 PM Trumpeter Swan Observation at Beemer's Pond Kelly McKay and John Laird

Beemer's Pond is located at the junction of R-21 and 240th Street  (south of new highway 20) 

1:00 - 2:00 PM Lunch at the office on your own (Bring a sack lunch or go to Webster City and get something and return)

2:00 - 3:30 PM Introduction to Common Feeder Birds of Iowa by Kelly McKay

3:30 - 4:00 PM Break for discussion and snacks

4:00 - 5:30 PM The Ultimate Winter Bird Survey : Summary of the First Ever Christmas Bird Count Marathon by Kelly McKay

5:30 - 5:45 Break for ending discussion.

5:45 PM Depart
