Briggs Woods Halloween Event & Luminary Night Hike Fundraiser


Event Summary

5 to 7 pm Trick-or-Treating in Campgrounds

5 to 7 pm Hay Rides start at the beach and go to the campgrounds and back. 

5 to 7 pm Light Meal  at Beach Shelter sponsored by the Webster City Church of Christ for the first 350 people who attend the event. Special Thanks to the Webster City Church of Christ for sponsoring the meal. A free will donation will be taken to support the Naturalist Program. 

7-9 pm Halloween Luminary Night Hike / Fundraiser Shelter 2 Area (Admissions to the Night Hike will end at 8:45 pm.) 

7-8:30 pm Hay Rides will start at the beach or campgrounds and go to Shelter 2 and back.     

  • CAMPERS - Decorate your campsite, bring your own candy to hand out to kids trick-or-treating. Awards will be given for the two best decorated campsites that evening by Bailey Morton the Park Ranger and the campgrounds host. 
  • TRICK-OR-TREAT - Park at the beach lot and come in costume and trick or treat in the campgrounds. 
  • HAYRIDES - Park at the beach lot to get on a hayride to the campgrounds. 
  •  A $5.00 Fundraiser Fee per person will be taken at shelter 2 and wristbands issued for the Halloween Luminary Night Hike. Kids 4 and under will be free but still be issued a wristband. 
  • Halloween Luminary Night Hike Discover some interesting facts on Iowa's wildlife, play glow ball, and view the night sky by telescope as you follow the luminary pumpkins to the various presenter stations.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • There is no charge for the the events taking place in the campgrounds.
