LODGE - Barn Shelter
Barn Shelter is the remaining building from the Briggs family and has been renovated into an enclosed shelter with electricity, water faucet, charcoal grill and picnic tables. The shelter overlooks the lake and is along the 5.7 mile paved hiking trail. There is also a fire ring circle gathering area.
Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:00 PM.
Location This shelter is located in Briggs Woods Park overlooking the lake. Follow the road into the park, past the campground continuing up the hill. You will go past the open shelter, continuing on the gravel up the slight hill and the Barn is straight ahead.

Fees
- FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME THE RESERVATION IS MADE
- NOTE: We have new keyless entry pads and you can only choose between the numbers of 1 and 5 for your access code.
- $100 for the day
- $200 refundable deposit

- Reservations may be made up to TWO YEARS in advance.
- Rental must be in the name of a person that is 18 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation. (21 years of age is there is to be wine or beer present at the event)
Hours of Operation & Seasons
Barn Shelter is a seasonal facility, available for reservations from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily from April 1 thru October 31.
- Reservations should plan to have their event concluded, cleaned-up and exit the park by 10:00 pm

Closures
This shelter is not available for reservation after October 31 and prior to April 1 on an annual basis.
Permits
- All laws of the State of Iowa are in effect.
- Smoking is prohibited
- Pets are not allowed inside the barn.
- Keg beer is prohibited without an agreement and having paid a $100 fee
- Tables must remain inside the shelter
- Clean-up of facility must be completed no later than 10:00 pm
- We have a No Refund policy; be sure to read the Facility Contract for details.
