Hetland Cemetery / Pioneer Cemetery Walk / Cancelled due to COVID-19

Event Summary

Come and join the Hamilton County Preservation Society as we introduce you to the residents of the Hetland Cemetery. We will have people in period dress graveside telling you about these early Hamilton County Settlers. We will also discuss the gravestone restoration process and demonstrate grave witching and discuss why it works. This program is for all ages of people who enjoy area history and genealogy. Hetland Cemetery is located at 3490 350th Street of Scott Township in Hamilton County Iowa

 Drive east of Ellsworth on state highway 175 to Young Ave. (Young Ave. is also the paved road to Roland.) Turn south on Young Ave. to 350th Street. Turn east on 350th Street for 1/2 mile. From Randall, go east on D 56 to Young Ave.Turn north on Young Ave. to 350th Street. Turn east on 350th Street for 1/2 mile. 

The Cemetery in located a few miles East and a little North of Little Wall Lake Park. The Cemetery  is located SE of Jewel and NE of Randall
