  • You pay for ALL 6 sites whether you use them all or not.
  • Sites are $26 per night - $156 per night for all 6
  • Reservations must be made 5 days in advance of the date of reservation. 
  • We have a No Refund policy; however, if you need to cancel your reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule.  Be sure to read the Facility Contract for details. 

CAMPGROUND MAP

Little Wall Lake Park offers many additional campsites (full hookup, water/electric, electric and non-electric) that are available first come, first serve.

  • NO REFUND - Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, you immediately prohibit other people from reserving & utilizing this facility - they therefore go elsewhere to locate a campsite for that date.
  • If you need to cancel and reschedule your reservation, you must contact us 15 days in advance of your rental date. 515-832-9570 or conservation@hamiltoncounty.org
  • If you contact us under 15 days, you will forfeit 100% of your reservation and not be allowed to reschedule. 
  • If you contact us by the 15 day notice, a promotional code will be issued to use for your future online reservation.  You have one opportunity to reschedule within 12 months of the original reservation date with this code.
  • Cancellations will not be allowed for extreme temperature changes (heat/cool) or inclement weather.
  • Be sure to read the Facility Contract for details.
  • Only the person who made the reservation can request and change/cancellation.

We will observe a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee policy with the following exceptions:

  • Accident, serious injury or death of an immediate family member
  • Travel conditions where a substantial risk is required in order to travel such as a winter storm where a travel advisory has been issued
  • We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event 

Cancellations or requests for rescheduling cannot be done online and must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (515) 832-9570 or email hccb@wmtel.net


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 02:00 PM.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

  • Camping is available all year round, however, water is shut off from November 1 thru April 1. 
  • Park Hours:  5:00 am to 10:30 pm
  • Camping check-in:   3:00 pm
  • Camping check-out:  2:00 pm
  • Main gate closes at 10:30 PM. Gates are not locked.
  • All non-registered campers (visitors) shall exit the area by 10:30 PM
  • Campground quiet hours are 10:30 PM - 5:00 AM

Closures

NOTES ON USE OF CAMPGROUND IN "OFF-SEASON":

  • The campground may be opened prior to April 1 or closed after October 31 pending favorable weather & ground conditions.
  • Water and modern restrooms/shower facilities may be closed to prevent freezing even though the campground may remain open. 
  • Online reservations will not be taken for the "off-season" period, campers will need to utilize the on-site self-registration system and pay the required fee. 

OUT OF STATE FIREWOOD IS PROHIBITED.

Hamilton County

The Hamilton County Conservation Board is located in central Iowa and manages 19 individual parks, wildlife areas, and river accesses - collectively encompassing over 2,000 acres. In addition, several major creeks and the Boone River flow through the county providing numerous water recreation opportunities.

All of our Areas are open to the public.  Explore the Natural Resource Areas with a hike or bird watching.  The following areas also allow public hunting:
