Calkins Prairie Mazes

Event Summary

COVID-19 has canceled our annual Halloween Hike, but that doesn’t mean we won’t still have outdoor activities for everyone! On October 13th, we will be cutting 3 prairie mazes in our trail for public use. The mazes are free to hike and there will be 3 difficulty levels; beginner, intermediate, and expert. Mazes will be available all fall from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. Come out and try your hand at our mazes and see if you can finish them all! They will take some time so block out an hour or two to complete the mazes in their entirety. Beginner maze will start at the end of the loop parking lot, intermediate maze will start across from the amphitheater, and the advanced maze will start in the parking lot next to 135th street. If you plan on coming in the evening, be sure to bring bug spray and a flash light! This is great for families and kids of all ages.
