Located less than 2 miles north of Steamboat Rock, the Sac and Fox Overlook area is found 1 mile North of Steamboat Rock and is accessible from Co Hwy S56.

$250.00 per-day rental fee + $100.00 refundable security deposit
The security deposit will be shredded if the site is vacated in good, clean condition as described in Rules & Conditions (3). The security deposit payment must be received by the office located at 15537 S Ave. Ackley, IA 50601 a week in advance of the event date. Please make checks payable to Hardin County Conservation.
A processing fee of $4 is also applied to online reservations.
The Sac and Fox facility is available from April 1st through November 1st each year.
Hours of operation are from 6:00 AM and the facility closes at 10:30 PM.
Park closes at 10:30 PM.
The park is closed November - March.

The following rules have been adopted by the Hardin County Conservation Board:
All reservations with Hardin County Conservation Board facilities are final. If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid, unless the following situations occur:
The National Weather Service has issued severe weather and/or travel conditions.
Hardin County Conservation is unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event.
Accident, serious injury, or death of an immediate family member.
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be made by calling the Hardin County Conservation Board Office at (641) 648-4361.
