Hardin - Sac & Fox Wildlife Area

We are pleased that you wish to use the Sac & Fox Overlook Area
and Shelter for your event. The use of this area is a privilege and intended to
promote Conservation’s natural habitat and the scenic view. Please treat it
with care so that others can continue to use it.

The following rules have been adopted by the Hardin County Conservation Board:

1. Renters must be 21 years-of-age.


2.  Pay the $250.00 per-day rental fee plus a separate check for a refundable $100.00 security deposit. The security deposit check will be shredded if the site is vacated in good, clean condition as described in Rules & Conditions (3). The security deposit payment must be received by the office located at 15537 S Ave. Ackley, IA 50601 a week in advance of the event date. Please make checks payable to Hardin County Conservation. A non-refundable $4 processing fee is applied to online reservations. 


3.  Renter is responsible for returning the shelter to the condition in which it was provided to them. No trash, decorations, or equipment are to be left at the shelter. No damage to facility structure, ground, or amenities. Return picnic tables to their original locations. Any additional cleaning is the responsibility of the renter.


4.  The park closes at 10:30pm. All other park regulations adopted by the Hardin County Conservation Board are in effect and should be observed by rental party.
