Join us 3pm March 23rd at the Harrison County Historical Village & Welcome Center for a presentation by Robby Pedersen Owner of RvP – 1875

Mr. Pedersen is a Master Furniture Maker with over 28 years of experience, who has built over 1300 pieces of historically accurate furniture using only the tools, techniques and finishes used in 1875 Iowa.

RvP~1875 RvP1875 is the world’s leading historical furniture shop and museum. A national accredited working museum that has been named the best tourism attraction in Iowa, the best tourism business in Iowa, and the best retail experience in Iowa by tourism Iowa. With 30 years in the trade Robby Pedersen builds furniture based on designs from 1875 Iowa using only the tools, techniques, and finishes from that time period. He personally builds 70 pieces a year for customers, which is the pace of an 1800s furniture maker and has recently signed his 1400th piece. RvP1875 also hosts bus tours, hands on programs, building workshops and a 2-year apprenticeship. He has given hundreds of keynote speeches at other museums and events and tells the history of pioneering and post-civil war Iowa and America through the history of his trade.  RvP1875 is on Facebook and has a web page.
