Event Summary
Top of the Hill area, Oakland Mills County Park, at the Dorothy Family Maple Syrup Camp. Activities include tapping trees, an evaporator demonstration, and syrup tasting. Groups are welcome. Weather dependent– listen to KILJ or watch our Facebook page, Henry County Conservation Department. All ages with participating adult age 18+. Preregistration not necessary. Nature center and all facilities will be closed. Dress for the weather. FREE.
Tired of staying home? Attend Henry County Conservation Department programs and be entered in a raffle for a cabin stay! Each time you attend one of the following events: Maple Syrup, March 4th from 4:00- 6:00 p.m.; Iowa Bees, April 17th at 10:00 a.m.; or Wine About the Moon Phases, April 27th at 7:00 p.m., you will be entered in a drawing for a two-night cabin stay coupon valued at $150! The more you attend, the more times your name is put in for the drawing. One raffle ticket per person per event. No purchase necessary. Coupons are 1 time use only, no cash value, and are redeemable through online purchases only. Must be used for Friday/Saturday night combinations. Winners will be notified by April 30th and failure to claim prize by May 10, 2021, will result in forfeiture of winnings. Winners under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present with their valid photo ID. Cabin rental must be in the name of a person 21 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation. Raffle winners are responsible for the $4 transaction fee and the $100 deposit fee for cabin rentals. It is your responsibility to ensure that this deposit is provided on time.
