BUILDING BETTER BIRDERS WORKSHOP 3 At the Park: Iowa the Beautiful 2023

Event Summary
The last of 3 workshops, this program will focus on Iowa raptors and will feature a live raptor presentation! Preregistration is required via mycountyparks.com on or before October 12th by 5 p.m. If you would like to attend multiple workshops, please be sure you preregister for each workshop. Once registered, you can choose to come to as many or as few of the sessions as you would like. Below you will find details and the session schedule. FREE.
This workshop will be conducted by Kelly McKay (BioEco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County Conservation), Brian Ritter and James Wiebler (Nahant Marsh Education Center). Funding was provided by the Resource Enhancement and Protection- Conservation Education Program (REAP-CEP). Kids are welcome to attend but the presentations are geared towards high school aged children and adults. Children that do attend need to have a participating adult present. A light snack will be provided but you can bring your own if you wish. All workshops will be held in the Oakland Mills Nature Center unless otherwise stated. Friday Schedule (October 20th)
6-7:30 p.m.- Session 3: “Human Activity Impacts on Bald Eagle Reproductive Success Along the Upper Mississippi River” presentation
7:30-8 p.m.- Session 4: Owl Pellet Dissection
8-8:15 p.m.- Break
8:15-9:45 p.m.- Session 5: Owl Prowl Walk at Oakland Mills Park
