12th Annual Halloween Hike

Event Summary

  Ida County's 12th annual Halloween Hike will feature familiar characters from Winnie the Pooh. Join us at the depot at Moorehead Park for an evening walk down hiking trails lit with luminaries and jack-o-lanterns. During the walk, participants will stop at 6 skit sites to be entertained with environmental skits performed by area volunteers. The walk is an easy 0.7 mile trail through the woods. Group leaders will help you on your trek. Refreshments will be served in the depot after the hike.
  Groups of hikers will depart from the depot every 10 minutes starting at 6:00 p.m.  Earlier hiking times are reserved for parents with young children who may be nervous of the dark. Participants are required to reserve a hike time by calling the Conservation Board office at 712-364-3300.
