Build a Bat House

Event Summary

Do you like mosquitos or gnats? Do you get tired of being bit up at night by bugs? Well, have you ever thought about helping to house bats? Come to this fun, family-friendly hands-on workshop where you can learn about bats beneficially impact your life!

Come and join us on July 30th, 2018 from 6-8 pm (please be here by 6 pm) at Lake Iowa Park (2550 G Ave, Ladora, IA 52251) where we will learn about bats and then build a house for them that you get to take home!

Pre-registration is $10 and is due by July 23rd. Please email Mary Bulger, Lake Iowa Park Naturalist at mbulger@co.iowa.ia.us.  Pre-registration includes the information packet AND the bat box that you put together!

If you didn’t pre-register, no worries! COME ANYWAYS and learn about bats and how to help house them! You will get the information packet that helps you to make the same bat boxes that will be made that day!
