Seed Harvesting Program

Event Summary

Join us for a program about harvesting prairie and other flower seeds. We will start at the nature center with a short presentation about the history of the prairie in Iowa and the benefits of planting with natives.  Then venture out to harvest seeds from our prairie planting and butterfly garden.  You will get to take some seeds home with you to start natives in your own yard!  Please dress to be  outside - long pants and closed toed shoes.
