What are those squiggly lines on this map? What is a bearing, and how do you follow one of 273 degrees? Join Iowa County Naturalist Sean Curry for an evening learning about navigation. Basic map and compass skills are the foundation upon which navigational knowledge is built. Participants in this program will learn how to correctly read and orient a map, find a bearing on a compass, and use the map and compass together to reach a desired destination. This program is great for beginners or anyone else that needs to brush up on these skills.
