The Lake Iowa Nature Center has a lower level that may be rented for weddings, graduations, family reunions, and other special events. 108 people can be seated comfortably but the space will hold up 120. The lower level has a concrete floor and a full kitchen.  It opens out onto a large concrete patio and open yard area behind the nature center.  The pond is also visible from the lower level.  This facility may be reserved up to one year in advance.  For more information or to make a reservation, please call (319) 655-8465.

Location

The Lake Iowa Nature Center is off of the main entrance of the park, just past the park shop. 

Amenities

The Lake Iowa Nature Center has the following amenities available.  The lower level has a full kitchen, and appliances are available to use as part of the rental.  Renters must provide their own cookware, place settings, etc.  Several outlets are located along the back counter.  Rectangular tables and folding chairs are also available- set up and tear down is the responsibility of the renter.

Fees

All day rental (during park hours of 6am to 10:30pm) is $250.00

Hourly rental for either the library or the lower level is $25/hour

Both require a $500 refundable deposit check.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

The Lake Iowa Nature Center is available year round.

Rentals are not available for holiday weekends.

Closures

The the nature center may not be available to rent on certain dates due to programs, exhibits, or events.
