Habitat Management at JCCB Wildlife Areas

Attention Hunters and Park Users. Jackson County Conservation Staff, and contracted work crews, will be actively working on Jackson County Conservation Wildlife areas this fall and winter. This activity will involve equipment such as chainsaws, UTVs, and trucks. This management activity is being done to help the overall health of our wildlife areas and wildlife habitat. The use of saws may and activity of conservation staff may affect hunting activities.
The main areas where habitat management activities will be occurring are Ozark Wildlife Area (west and northern parts of the area), Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area (near overlook and primitive campground), Blackhawk Nature Area, Pine Valley, and Baldwin Marsh.
