Prairie Hikes at Buzzard Ridge

Event Summary

Plant lovers, nature nuts, hiking enthusiast or anyone interested join Naturalist Tony Vorwald as we visit and learn about Iowa Prairie. On Saturday June 12, July 10 and August 28 at 1:30 pm we will be hiking out to the Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area hill prairie and exploring the native plants that grow on this remnant prairie. We will revisit this same prairie thought the growing season so we can explore the different native plants that we can find throughout the growing season. This hike will be about 2 miles and does involve hills. Come dressed for the weather, wear supportive shoes, and bring water. Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area is located off of E17.
