This is a free and family friendly event that will be held at the Hurstville Fishing Pond, located across the highway from the Hurstville Interpretive Center.
Learn more about fishing and get the opportunity to go fishing. Jackson County Conservation will provide fishing poles and worms as bait, but feel free to bring your own equipment.
June 7-9 is Free Fishing Weekend in Iowa. Iowa residents may fish without a license during this weekend. All other rules and regulations apply.
Directions to Hurstville Fishing Pond: 1 mile north of Maquoketa on Highway 61, turn west on 63rd Street, then turn north at the second gravel and follow the lane to the parking lot.
