Event Summary

Discover archaeology for a day!  Kids of all ages can experience archaeology at a mock dig at the Hurstville Interpretive Center on Sunday October 6th at 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.  During the activity, participants will dig for artifacts and learn how archaeologists find clues about our past and use those clues to learn more about how people lived.  The program is free and open to the public.  For more information, contact Jackson County Conservation at (563) 652-3783.  The Hurstville Interpretive Center is located 1 mile north of Maquoketa on Hwy 61.
