Fossils of Iowa

Event Summary

Let’s take a scavenger hunt through Iowa’s history and discover the fossils from shallow seas that once covered Jackson County. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the creatures that once inhabited our area and look for locally available fossils. Please preregister at least 48 hours in advance by calling 563-652-3783 or email Jen@JacksonCCB.com. Time slots start at 10am and will be 30 minutes apart to encourage social distancing. Participants are encouraged to wear masks and children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone is welcome to walk the trails, play in the playscape, pick a picnic lunch or view the exhibits. This is a free, family friendly event.
