Hudson Bay Bound: A Virtual Evening with Natalie Warren

Paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts, have we got a presentation for you! On Thursday December 3  at 6 pm avid paddler and public speaker Natalie Warren will virtually present on her Hudson Bay expedition, paddling 2,000 miles from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay. Natalie Warren is one of the first two women to have paddled 2,000 miles from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay, inspired by Eric Sevareid’s route from Canoeing with the Cree. She was nominated for Canoe & Kayak’s 2012 Expedition of the Year and has since paddled the length of the Mississippi River and won first place in the women’s voyageur category in the 2016 Yukon River Quest, paddling 450 miles in fifty- three hours. Along with writing for outdoor publications and being an avid public speaker, she has worked with organizations on land protection, outdoor recreation, and environmental education, and she advises communities on how to increase paddle sports tourism. She is pursuing her PhD in communication studies at the University of Minnesota and lives in Minneapolis with her husband, daughter, and dog.
