Canoeing the Mississippi River from Lake Itasca to Dubuque

Event Summary
Brothers Mark and John Wagner of Dubuque began canoeing the Mississippi River headwaters for about a week each year beginning in 2016. Mark will present about their journey from Lake Itasca to Dubuque on Sunday, January 30 at 3:00 PM at the Hurstville Interpretive Center, Maquoketa. Mark Wagner is a retired naturalist and former Director of Education for the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque. The photographs and stories of their canoe adventure will give participants an experience of the river's long meandering journey before it reaches eastern Iowa.
