Ranger Camp

Event Summary

Ranger Camp Tues – Thurs June 28, 29, 30 from 9:00 – 1:00  Kids will explore wetlands and prairies, make their own willow fishing poles and go fishing, play fun games, and learn about the importance of environmental sustainability. At the Hurstville Interpretive Center, Maquoketa For youth entering 2nd–4th grade in the fall Cost: $25 per child Participants will learn about our Iowa’s nature resources! ¨ Registration and payment is due by the Friday before camp starts. Max number is 20 kids per camp so sign up early! ¨ You do not have to be a resident of the town to attend a camp in that town—anyone is welcome! ¨ Cost includes equipment, materials, activity fees, and a snack (lunch is provided for camps that go to 1:00 & 3:00). ¨ Financial assistance is available, please contact us for details. ¨ Camp will be cancelled only in the event of severe weather. Rain date for camp is Friday of the same week.
