Prairie plants are finding their way back into our landscape, not only on public lands, but in gardens and yards. Native species are already well adapted to the soil and climate in Iowa and provide biodiversity to attract wildlife.To promote planting native prairie plants and make it easier for you to get them, we are holding a native plant sale. Cost is $1.75 per plug. Plugs are small, about 1.25” wide and 3” deep. Download an order form from our website, www.jacksonccb.com or pick one up at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Order deadline is Monday April 8 at 4:00 pm.Plants for sale are Indian grass, little blue stem, prairie coreopsis, black-eyed Susan,cardinal flower, whorled milkweed, prairie blazingstar, purple coneflower, and wild bergamot.
