Animal Signs

Event Summary

Homeschool and virtual learning families are invited to Prairie Creek Recreation Area on Thursday, December 17 at 9:00 AM to learn about the signs and evidence animals leave behind in the forests and prairies. We will meet at the Pavilion and search for tracks, scat, and signs of the animals that call nature home. Come dressed for the weather and ready to explore. This is a free and family friendly event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. Call Jackson County Conservation at (563) 652-3783 or email tony@jacksonccb.com for information or to register. Registration is required 48 hours before event. Social distancing is encouraged. Prairie Creek Recreation Area is located at 1215 East Summit Street, Maquoketa, IA 52060.
