    • Campsites must be kept clean at all times! Area must be litter and debris-free throughout your stay. Cleanliness is at discretion of the park staff. If you choose to not adhere to this rule, you will be asked to vacate the campsite without a refund.

    Rental Contract Agreement

    At this time no refunds will be given, and booking will be considered a donation to Jasper County Conservation.

    1.       All campsites are limited to a maximum of 2 units per site.

    2.       The park closes at 10:30pm. After this time, all visitors must leave, and quiet hours must be observed.

    3.       Excessive noise of any kind won’t be allowed.

    4.       Camper check out or renewal time is 4:00pm.

    5.       All animals must be kept on a leash at all times.

    6.       Camping is only allowed in the designated area.

    7.       Limit occupancy is 14 days; campers are then required to leave the park for a minimum of 72 hours.

    8.       Each site is permitted one table.

    9.       Fires are permitted in designated areas. Do not move fire rings.

    10.   All garbage must be placed in refuse containers.

    11.   Park officers are given authority to refuse camping privileges and to rescind any and all camping permits for cause. No refunds.

    Cancellation Policy

    If Cancellation occurs, reservation will be considered a donation to Jasper County Conservation. Please call the Jasper County Conservation Office, Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM to cancel.

    Mariposa Campsite 8 is a primitive campsite. A fire ring and picnic table are provided.

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

    Location Take highway T-12 north out of Newton and follow the signs to the park entrance.

    A modern pit toilet is located near the shelter house and the boat ramp. Shower facilities located in Bison Ridge Campground.

    Fees

    $12/night. Minimum 2-night stay on weekends.

    14-day maximum stay
    A $4.00 NON-REFUNDABLE “Processing Fee” will be added to each campsite reservation at time payment is submitted.
