The Uhlenhopp Arboretum Cabin is located in Grinnell and open for reservations year-round. Enjoy a relaxing weekend or weekday stay, wake up to the birds and watch the sunset while exploring all that Uhlenhopp Arboretum has to offer.
Uhlenhopp Arboretum was gifted to Jasper County Conservation by Elliot Uhlenhopp, a former chemistry professor at Grinnell College. “The world needs more trees; plant as many as you can,” and that’s just what he did. He planted tens of thousands of trees all over his 250 acres and built 7 ponds, named for the days of the week. There are mowed trails for hiking, a picnic shelter, food forest and a beautiful cabin that is available to rent.
