Event Summary

Hit the water as we explore the Des Moines River from Bentonsport to Bonaparte. This program is geared for Van Buren County youth who are entering 5th grade or older. Participants must have an adult with them. This nearly four-mile stretch is a great introduction to river paddling.

This is an official Des Moines River Water Trails event cosponsored by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Jefferson County Conservation. The Des Moines River Water Trail is one of 19 official water trails in Iowa.
