Paddle into the Past

Event Summary

Paddle into the Past as Cherie E. Haury-Artz, Education Assistant at the Office of the State Archaeologist, leads a paddle sharing about the past inhabitants and archaeology of the area. The paddle is open to everyone, however children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Paddle registration is limited to 20 boats. Jefferson County Conservation has several kayaks which participants may pre-register to borrow.

This is an official Des Moines River Water Trails event cosponsored by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Jefferson County Conservation. The Des Moines River Water Trail is one of 19 official water trails in Iowa.
