Discover Round Prairie Park in Stockport

Nestled along the Cedar Creek, Round Prairie Park is a mixture of prairie and timber landscapes. This park was purchased in 1974 and was the first park to be developed by the Jefferson County Conservation Board. Round Prairie has fishing ponds, native prairie, a campground, and a shelter.

This 101 acre area is a mixture of timber, abandoned cropland and pasture. An old lime-stone quarry is also on the site. Extensive work has been done in the area to restore the native grasses and forbs.  Cedar Creek borders the park on the south and a canoe access is available.

Round Prairie Park has a primitive campground, a shelter house, pit latrine restroom, and two fishing ponds stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegills.
